Overview

A TargetSmart Data Product Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and release of data products for TargetSmart customers.   The Data Product Manager works with Data Product Specialists and Data Product Workflow Developers to ensure the data products are built and maintained accurately, efficiently and on schedule.  The Data Product Manager works with the Data Innovation Analyst on improvements to quality and innovations to the data products.  The Data Product Manager works with Client Services to communicate product information, research inquiries, provide updates and resolve issues.
LOCATION: Washington, D.C./Remote
SALARY RANGE: $85,000 – $100,000
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensures on-time updates to existing data products.
Documents and communicates the status of data product updates.
Audits/verifies/troubleshoots data product builds.
Leads the development/maintenance of production processes and documentation for enhancements and new products.
Develops and documents product process updates.
Takes initiative to identify potential improvements to data products and production processes.
Works with Data Innovation Analyst to decide about use of new data sources for inclusion in existing products or for the creation of new products.
Understands, applies and can communicate concepts concerning data quality, integration and enhancement, and the services (internal and external) that facilitate them
Professionally supports internal stakeholders and external clients as appropriate.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Understanding of database concepts and environments
2 or more years of database management
Trouble-shooting/problem-solving experience
Technical aptitude
Attention to detail
Solid communication skills

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:

Bachelors degree in a technical field
Experience working with political data
Process management experience
Technical writing and documentation experience
