As a Decision Support Manager at ActBlue, you will act as a bridge between the Finance Team and individual departments across the organization. You’ll understand the function, needs, and goals of each department to assist them in building budgets and creating long-term analytical solutions. You will identify business challenges and develop financial and budgetary solutions in partnership with department leads and the Chief Financial Officer. This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.


  • Assist departments in the creation of departmental and sub-departmental budgets 
  • Provide variance analysis monthly and inputs to forecast based on business/function insight and input
  • Act as a conduit and advocate for assigned business units in Finance Team meetings
  • Provide financial analytical support to department heads, and be an active, engaged member of the function’s leadership team 
  • Develop financial data models, data visualizations, and automated analytics that operationalize insights across the business
  • Develop an understanding of the key drivers of success and strategy for the functions supported
  • Develop financial metrics that assist in forecasting and KPI development (i.e. staffing levels, productivity, and performance quality)
  • Establish innovative strategies to understand and solve complex analytics problems and reach valuable data-driven insights by discovering  patterns and trends
  • Directly present to internal stakeholders and articulate coherent stories and analytical financial concepts
  • Ensure teams are following established financial policy and procedures to ensure consistency across the organization


  • 15+ years of experience as a financial analyst supporting various business functions or lines of businessA bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or related area of study
  • Experience creating financial data models 
  • Knowledge and experience with complex data mining and analytical tools such as SAS, R, Tableau, etc.
  • Experience working with a management information system
  • Highly analytical mindset and strong organizational skills 
  • A “service-oriented” attitude and the ability to adapt to multiple team environments
  • Experience implementing cross-functional analytical projects and solutions, including defining scope, timelines, and milestones


This posting is for a full-time, remote, salaried position. In-office work on an as-needed basis; ActBlue’s headquarters are located in Davis Square in Somerville, MA.
