Grossman Solutions is hiring Campaign Canvassers for a paid canvass in support of Democratic Governor Ned Lamont.

The ideal candidate is outgoing, engaging, driven and wants to make a difference in their community. Canvassers will be assigned to a specific region of the state and report to the region’s Canvass Supervisor. We are hiring Canvassers in Fairfield, New Haven and Hartford counties.

We are hiring part-time and full-time Canvassers. The canvass will run through November 2022. Pay is $23/hour and canvassers will receive mileage stipends. Full-time canvassers will receive health insurance stipends.

Job Responsibilities

Talk to voters through door-to-door canvassing to encourage voting for Governor Ned Lamont
Enter data collected from voters into database
Complete accurate daily reports
Represent the campaign with professionalism and ethical conduct
Successfully complete required training

Experience working with the public such as customer service, sales, brand ambassador, community outreach, or social service
Previous canvass experience is helpful, but not required as training will be provided to all employees
Ability to follow script and meet daily goals
Ability to connect with diverse communities and move people to action
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary
Proven ability to be flexible and work in a fast-moving environment
Ability to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends
Must be able to use a smartphone/ tablet and learn how to use a database app
Must have access to reliable transportation
Canvassers will be subject to a background check
Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
Proof of vaccination is required*

Canvassers will work in the field and be based out of our field offices. Canvassers will be required to travel throughout their assigned region.
