Position Description

We are seeking an Interim JVP Action Organizing Senior Manager to anchor a successful electoral cycle by managing field strategy and our rockstar team of field organizers on priority 2020 JVP Action races.

Reporting to: JVP Action Senior Government Affairs Manager


The Organizing Senior Manager is responsible for managing and executing JVP Action 2020 political field program as part of our mission to support elected officials and candidates who will fight for Palestinian rights and freedom. This includes: strengthening existing field strategies and implementing winning campaign plans; training, coaching and supporting volunteers and staff; evaluating and communicating progress; identifying opportunities for intervention or deeper support; and resolving issues and addressing crises.

The Organizing Senior Manager role will work on

Building from and strengthening existing field plans, implementing, and directing field plans for priority candidates
Developing, implementing and managing systems and plans (data, tracking)
Overseeing execution of volunteer recruitment activity and volunteer voter contact activity
Developing metrics and measures of success for grassroots voter contact and providing reports on outcomes
Manage field organizers


In addition to the following qualifications, the ideal candidate has demonstrated a commitment to the mission of Jewish Voice for Peace Action and issues of economic, racial, immigrant, and gender justice.

Promotes cultures of respect, inclusion, and justice within organizing structures
Political or electoral campaign experience required
Supervisory experience and/or skills in managing for accountability, staff development and growth
Experience with, or deep knowledge of, election rules and regulations required
Experience developing, training and empowering volunteers
Campaign, organizing, and project management experience; skills in communicating for collectively buy-in and ability to give, receive and integrate feedback from staff, volunteers and partners
Demonstrated practice of centering equity, especially racial equity, and intersectionality in decision-making and daily work
Demonstrated nimbleness; if this program doesn’t work, can shift and adapt quickly
Demonstrated skills in cross-organizational collaboration
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills, including effectiveness as a storyteller able to engage multiple audiences
Tech savvy, must be comfortable in a digital-environment, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Docs; texting tools and phone banking.

The position requires irregular hours, including frequent evenings and weekends. Flexible hours and comp time are available, in addition to full benefits that include paid time off.

This is a non-exempt, salaried, full-time position through November 2020. The salary range is mid 60s to low 70s (commensurate with skills & experience) with a generous benefits package.
