Overview

Who is Kairos?

Kairos is working for liberation at the intersection of technology, racial justice, and democracy. We believe we can both bring organizing into the 21st century while transforming the internet into a place where everyone can thrive. To be successful, we challenge ourselves to live our values and vision as we build the world we want. Joy, laughter, fun, and rigor are the ingredients we include as we work toward our vision together.

The Kairos Campaigns team runs national campaigns designed to ensure that technology and the internet are not used to uphold systemic injustice. Through our campaigns, we’re building a world where tech works for all.

Someone who is a great fit for this team combines strategy, power-building, deep relationships, and a commitment to racial and trans justice in their campaigning.   • Craft digital strategies rooted in integrating organizing, communications, and other campaigning streams;
  • Write and create compelling, well-sourced content (including email, social, and SMS) to organize supporters and members to take action;
  • Pitch in to help on campaigns as they develop;
  • Help test and assess decision-making processes and new campaign infrastructure to improve our developing systems; and
  • Participate in the culture of and contribute to the broader Kairos team spirit, ethos, and strategy.
  • Work with and expand our network of campaign partners (including state and national and unusual suspects)
