Overview

Movement Labs seeks an exceptional writer and an experienced distributed organizer to lead our efforts to save democracy and build power for marginalized communities – and act as a client-facing and business development leader.

At Movement Labs, we’re building the movement’s most powerful funnel of engagement to generate grassroots power and stop the far right. Our Contest Every Race program has set up 1,600 meetings in rural counties between Democratic party leaders and nearly 200,000 prospective rural candidates we’ve recruited. And we’re looking for someone to take this organizing game up even another level.

You’ll be responsible for the quality of our organizing content across our programs. You’ll lead or coach teams responsible for SMS scripts, emails and digital ads, phone calls, live video training and super-volunteer communities.

You know how to develop volunteer communities, and are comfortable thinking in systems that will support deep and long-term engagement for those volunteers.

You’re comfortable in front of potential clients and excited to mentor our team of partnerships staff as they grow the reach of our organizing work with new clients.

Responsibilities:

Collaborating with clients and program leadership to determine organizing strategy
Designing sophisticated multi-modal distributed organizing programs and ensuring each touch is of the highest quality
Managing an organizing lead in developing super volunteers from Movement Labs’ community of ~15,000 volunteer texters
Supporting partner engagement with local partner leaders – county party chairs, Indivisible group leaders, grassroots organizers
Developing a team conducting virtual and video training, web and mobile experiences, phone banks and digital community development
Program management for core Movement Labs programs
