Public Relations and Fundraising Manager

PANA is hiring an experienced, mission driven professional to design, plan, and implement press and digital strategies that advance the organization’s advocacy priorities. Uner the supervision of the Executive Director, this position will manage the communications strategy and fundraising efforts including:

Securing quarterly media placements for print, radio, and social media.
Overseeing the execution of PANA’s rebranding efforts and website
Creating content and collateral materials
Producing regular reports on audience engagement and reach
Managing consultants to ensure consistent branding and messaging
Planning and managing special events and fundraising efforts
Responsibilities

Develop, manage, and drive the organization’s media and messaging strategy, across various communications channels, with input from leadership, staff, consultants, and select Board members.
Lead, mentor, and grow the organization’s communications capacity.
Serve as PANA’s public voice for policy issues, events, conferences, coalitions, and with other stakeholders.
Develop content and media strategies for legislation, PANA membership, and the press.
Generate the production of high quality, timely, original, social media and digital content.
Cultivate strong relationships with the media, and with communications staff across outside organizations.
Establish best practices and manage operations for all digital platforms, including website, social media, mass email systems, and other channels.
Implement regular communications with existing donors and  contacts and support growth of individual donors.
Provide guidance, clarity, and spokesperson training to staff in order to uniformly represent the face of the organization.
Develop and oversee fundraising databases and tracking systems.
Develops and tracks proposals and reports for foundation and corporate grants.
Qualifications and Skills Required

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in communications, or related field with strong representation of experience in communications.
Member of the American Marketing Association, and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
CFRE certificate preferred but not required.
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit communications and fundraising.
A commitment to social justice and social change organizing.
A minimum of 2 years management experience and supervision preferred.
Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work effectively with a team in a rapidly moving environment.
Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and meet deadlines under pressure of time and while juggling multiple priorities.
Extremely organized with close attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong leadership, quantitative analysis, and written/oral communications skills.
Ability to work with diverse people and organizations.
Compensation

Salary range of $65-85K depending upon experience. Excellent benefits package, including

full health care benefits;
paid sick, family, and parental leave;
employer contribution to 401K; and
120 hours of vacation per year in addition to the office being closed the last two weeks of the year.
