Chief Operating Officer Position
PANA is looking for a seasoned professional to serve as its first Chief Operating Officer (COO). The COO who will join the executive team and oversee the organization’s finances, compliance, and operations.
The COO will be responsible for PANA’s financial stability and oversee administrative and operational functions, including accounting and finance, compliance and human resources, and facilities operations and risk management. In addition, the COO will work closely with the Executive Director to set goals for and support capital improvement and other donor campaigns.
The COO will report directly to the Executive Director and will perform the following essential functions:
Lead and supervise PANA’s administrative team, including the business and operations managers, and oversee all operational and administrative functions.
Manage and supervise PANA’s relationships with outside accounting and auditing firms.
Serve as the liaison to the finance committee of PANA’s Board of Directors and prepare monthly financial reports for the board and Executive Director.
Lead the annual budgeting process and work with program directors to ensure budgets and program expenses are fiscally responsible and in line with PANA’s mission and fiscal policies.
Oversee compliance, reporting, and quality assurance metrics to ensure fiscal and operational program effectiveness and excellence.
Supervise all aspects of facilities management, including leases, construction and maintenance plans, and facilities budgets.
Oversee human resources and related training programs.
Qualifications and Skills Required
Masters degree in accounting, business, or nonprofit management preferred.
A minimum of 5 years experience in accounting, finance, contract compliance, & human resources.
Management experience, including experience supervising administrative staff.
Ability to juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Extremely organized with close attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
A commitment to social justice and PANA’s mission.
Ability to work with diverse people and organizations.
Salary range of $85-100K depending upon experience. Excellent benefits package, including
full health care benefits;
paid sick, family, and parental leave;
employer contribution to 401K; and
120 hours of vacation per year in addition to the office being closed the last two weeks of the year.
