Job SummaryThe Senior Accountant is responsible for carrying out the essential accounting functions of the Company and reporting to the Controller. These functions include providing AP and AR, payroll processing and support, assisting internal and external financial reporting. The Senior Accountant is expected to perform at a high level of expertise and competency.

Further, the Senior Accountant is expected to use sound judgment while producing consistent results. What You’ll DoThe Senior Accountant is responsible for essential accounting functions of the Company.   Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Own accounts payable to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation, entry, and payment; review and process employee reimbursement timely, and properly maintain vendor table. Monitor AR Aging and processing and reconciling cash collection from customers.

Processing and reconciling recurring payroll transactions; ensuring compliance with federal/state/local legislation, registration and withholding requirements. Assist Controller in three-day accounting close, including, but not limited to, performing bank reconciliation, preparing recurring journal entries, and reconciling certain balance sheet accounts. Maintain proper accounting and related records, document proper procedures and accounting processes. Assisting Controller and others in analysis and projects as needed.

Performing other accounting duties as deemed necessary. Must be proficient in MS Office software.

  Experience in using NetSuite, SalesForce and ADP. Other accounting software experience is a plusMust be well-organized, adaptable, and able to work independently and effectively under time constraints. Strong foundation of technical accounting and analytical skills. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Must have a can-do attitude, be self-motivated and enthusiastic. Experience with MAS GSA is preferred, but not required.
