Role: Campus and Community Organizer

Location and Timeline:

We are hiring Campus and Community Organizers for this position beginning April 15th and ending on December 31, 2024. Organizers will be based in Milwaukee, La Crosse, Green Bay, Appleton, and Eau Claire, WI. Preference will be given to organizers that can be geo-flexible as the campaign progresses.

Who We Are:

The Outreach Team is the national engine of campaigners and organizers powering the young-people vote movement. With an on-the-ground presence in communities all across the country, our world-class team runs successful civic engagement campaigns to build a future that’s fairer, healthier, safer and more peaceful for everyone. We are excited to once again be working with Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin to mobilize Wisconsin communities around protecting and advancing reproductive justice and the upcoming 2024 General Election.

Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin (PPAWI) is the advocacy arm of Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, the state’s largest and most trusted reproductive health care provider. PPAWI educates and lobbies on behalf of women’s health and works to elect candidates who support family planning and the full range of reproductive health care.

General Overview:

We are currently seeking Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin Campus and Community Organizers to engage and expand awareness of reproductive rights access and threats specifically within the state legislatures through online actions, voter outreach, and relationship building. As a campus and community organizer, you would work closely with the organizing team to support the development of grassroots and grasstops relationships on college campuses and local communities, and recruit and train dozens of volunteers committed to defending reproductive freedom. Over the summer, the organizers will work with volunteer leaders to launch a summer training program dedicated to relational organizing before heading into the fall. Your role as a community organizer will be to support recruitment, promotion and tracking of that work. Come August, organizers and their volunteers will leverage their relationships and mobilize their community to launch a voter identification and Get Out The Vote operation through Election Day 2024 – work which the organizer will be promoting by using voter identification systems and relational organizing tools, as well as the recruitment and training of volunteers to engage in GOTV activities.

If you are passionate about reproductive rights and uplifting stories, join our fight to help expand awareness of reproductive rights access and threats in Wisconsin and impacting Wisconsinites.
