Direct Reports: Yes, four (4) direct reports (VP, Marketing, VP Product, VP, Customer Success, Senior Data Analyst) with an extended team of 11 additional team members

Status: Full-time

Location: Remote within the United States

Compensation: Base salary range of $180,000 to $225,000 per annum, depending on prior experience and location of the candidate, plus bonus and competitive benefits. Bonus eligibility is based on performance, inclusive of achieving agreed-upon goals up to 10% of yearly salary. Organization pays 100% of personal medical, dental, vision with 50% subsidy for dependents. Benefits include matching retirement up to 4 percent, a budget for continuing education/professional development, twelve volunteer days and twelve wellness days off per year, and an additional 19 PTO days and 12 paid holidays.

About the Chief Growth Officer

VolunteerMatch is looking for an experienced product, sales, marketing and customer success leader. The Chief Growth Officer (CGO) is responsible for defining, leading and delivering VolunteerMatch’s product, marketing and sales strategies. They will own the evolution and execution of our customer-centered approach to the market.

The CGO will be responsible for the following:

Drive a marketing, sales and customer success culture that seeks feedback, continuous improvement and innovation for social good.
Directly manage the senior team members of the Growth team.
Define the product strategy and align with the engineering team on the execution of the organization’s strategic priorities in sales, marketing and customer success.
Work within and across the team to increase engagement, impact and revenue.
Assess and refine internal systems and processes to support the sales function, support earned revenue strategies towards an aim of repeatable, recurring revenue.
Align VolunteerMatch’s business strategy with emerging market needs and trends.
Work across a diverse range of products and services that support a multi-sided market, inclusive of employers, nonprofit organizations, individuals and channel partners.
Communicate effectively and directly with employees, stakeholders, customers and investors.
Desired Skills, Mindsets and Experience

At least 20 years of prior experience as a senior business leader in product management, sales and/or marketing in a data-driven environment
Proven ability to successfully lead teams through periods of growth and change
Proven ability to lead cross-organizational collaboration
Demonstrated experience in consumer brand building, product marketing, enterprise marketing and channel marketing, especially for an API-driven product
Demonstrated experience managing sales teams, especially in a channel sales context
Deeply committed to using your powers for social good, developing social innovations that address deep societal needs
Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience with human-centered design and design thinking
Strong leadership and management skills, including inspiring vision, clear communication, high expectations, excellent organizational and time‐management skills, and attention to detail and follow‐through
Self‐motivated and creative problem solver with demonstrated ability to coach, manage, and develop high performing, collegial, and inclusive teams
Proactive attitude, out of the box thinking, sense of humor, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment
Strong cultural competency and proven track record working across differences of gender, race, ethnicity, and socio-economics
A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience
An MBA or MA in a related field is an asset
Timeline and Process
